I’ve always been drawn to healthcare and wanted a career where I could truly support people through life’s physical challenges. Osteopathy stood out to me because it combines hands-on treatment with a deep understanding of the body — helping people not just with pain, but with their overall wellbeing.
During my training, I developed a strong interest in chronic pain management and rheumatology — areas where compassionate, consistent care can make a real difference. I believe that even when living with long-term conditions, there’s always potential for positive change.
My approach is always patient-centred. I take the time to listen, understand your goals, and work with you to create a plan that supports your body, your lifestyle, and the things you love doing.

We know starting something new can bring up a few questions, especially if it’s your first time seeing an osteopath. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common things people ask us. If you’re still unsure about anything, don’t hesitate to get in touch, we’re here to help.
No. You can book directly without a referral. Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners, so you don't need to see your GP first.
Serena holds a Master of Osteopathy (M.Ost) and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). She is also a member of the Institute of Osteopathy and the ICO.
Your first visit includes a detailed case history, physical assessment, and treatment (if appropriate). You’ll also receive advice to support your recovery at home. Follow-up appointments focus on progressing your care and helping you meet your goals.
Osteopathic treatment is usually gentle and should never be painful — but it’s normal to feel a little sore, achy, or tired afterwards, especially if it’s your first session. This is similar to how you might feel after exercise or a massage, and it usually settles within 24–48 hours.
If a particular technique feels uncomfortable during treatment, your osteopath will adapt or stop right away. You’re always in control and encouraged to speak up at any time.
If any post-treatment discomfort lasts more than a few days or feels unusual, just get in touch — we’re here to help and make sure everything feels right for your body.
Initial consultations are longer to allow time for a full case history and assessment. Follow-up appointments are focused and structured around your treatment plan.
Yes. Serena has a particular clinical interest in chronic pain, including fibromyalgia and hypermobility-related conditions. She takes a pain science-informed approach focused on understanding and long-term management.
