Having had three long-term working relationships with other osteopaths over several decades I was hesitant to start afresh with a new osteopath. But the departure of my existing osteopath and a new neck issue forced my hand. I chose Serena on the recommendation of a friend. Serena was friendly and welcoming when I first met her. Her massage and mobilisation techniques were thorough and robust. After two sessions these appear to have worked very well. As did the exercises Serena recommended for me.Posted on Google Laura JacobsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am so glad to have found Serena! I have struggled for years with hypermobility and the issues that come along with it. I recently came across Lind Street Osteopathy and only wish I had done so sooner. At my first appointment, I remember thinking that I finally felt listened to, and I've experienced real improvements since my first and second appointments. I feel very at ease with Serena. She is incredibly knowledgeable and professional, while also being welcoming, warm, and sympathetic. I highly recommend Serena and Lind Street Osteopathy. Thank you so much for all your help!Posted on Google Lou JaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In desperation after months of back pain, I booked to see Serena. Initially I chose her practice because of the proximity to my workplace and the hours free parking outside - what a great decision it was! Serena is a great practitioner. Her practice is a calm and relaxing oasis in the middle of Ryde. I felt listened to and understood from that first appointment and she has been so supportive in helping me get a referral to my GP for related issues. My back pain is much reduced, I have exercises to help me continue the work she does at the appointments, and I feel positive that we are making progress towards a solution. I would recommend Lind Street Osteopathy to anyone looking for a sympathetic and effective Osteopath.Posted on Google Sandra NightingaleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Osteopathy is a regulated, hands-on approach to healthcare. It considers how your body moves and functions as a whole, rather than treating one area in isolation.
In practice, Serena will start with a detailed case history at your first appointment. She will ask about your pain or problem, your health history, your lifestyle, and what you want to achieve. She will then carry out a physical assessment, observing how you move and using touch to identify areas of tension, restriction, or discomfort.
Treatment may involve a combination of:
Many patients also benefit from guidance on exercise, posture, and self-management strategies. Serena will explain what she is doing and why, so you can make informed choices about your treatment.
The aim is not just to address the immediate problem, but to help you understand your body better and build strategies that support your wellbeing beyond the treatment room.
Osteopathy can support a wide range of people, from those recovering from a recent injury to those managing longer-term or more complex conditions.
Patients commonly come to Serena with:
You do not need a GP referral to book. If you are unsure whether osteopathy is the right approach for your situation, feel free to get in touch. Serena is happy to answer questions before you commit to an appointment.

I’ve had a great experience with Serena. She takes the time to really listen and understand what’s going on, and she explains everything clearly so I always feel informed and reassured. The treatment she suggested has been genuinely helpful, and after each session I’ve left feeling better and more optimistic about my back pain. I’m very grateful for her support and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and effective osteopath.
Serena has been amazing in helping me manage my lower back pain. She’s very knowledgeable, and she explained everything in a way that really put me at ease. I always feel listened to and supported during each session. Thanks to her, my back is feeling so much better, and I feel more confident about my recovery. I highly recommend Serena to anyone looking for a skilled and caring osteopath.
I cannot recommend Serena enough! I came in with neck pain that was making daily life tough, and she's been absolutely fantastic. She takes the time to actually listen and explained exactly what was going on with my neck. Her treatments are gentle but incredibly effective and I felt significant relief right after the first appointment. I have so much more mobility now and am pretty much pain-free. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Yes. Osteopaths in the UK are fully regulated healthcare professionals, trained to work safely with people of all ages, including those with chronic health conditions, during pregnancy, or in older age.
Your first visit includes a detailed case history, physical assessment, and treatment (if appropriate). You’ll also receive advice to support your recovery at home. Follow-up appointments focus on progressing your care and helping you meet your goals.
Osteopathic treatment is usually gentle and should never be painful — but it’s normal to feel a little sore, achy, or tired afterwards, especially if it’s your first session. This is similar to how you might feel after exercise or a massage, and it usually settles within 24–48 hours.
If a particular technique feels uncomfortable during treatment, your osteopath will adapt or stop right away. You’re always in control and encouraged to speak up at any time.
If any post-treatment discomfort lasts more than a few days or feels unusual, just get in touch — we’re here to help and make sure everything feels right for your body.
A new patient appointment is £65 and lasts up to 60 minutes. This includes a full case history, physical assessment, and initial treatment where appropriate.
Follow-up appointments are £55 and last up to 45 minutes, focusing on your progress and ongoing care.
There’s no obligation to book more than one session, we’ll always discuss what feels right for you.
